This step by step tutorial will teach you how to make a Christmas table centerpiece, using our Sera Candle Holder. Every year, our Visual Merchandiser, Lubo Todorov, creates a beautiful Christmas wreath. His organic wreaths are still going strong but this year he decided to branch out (pardon the pun). Our Sera Candle Holder is a statement, Scandi centerpiece as it is. However, add some festive evergreen and watch it transform into the ultimate Christmas table centerpiece. Keep reading to follow our step by step tutorial.

What you need:

  • Sera Candle Holder
  • Twigs
  • A few types of evergreen of your choice eg. Fir branches, conifer, pine, holly.
  • Always combine flat leaf plants with needle plants.
  • Berries (optional)
  • Dried flowers/fruit (optional)
  • Pine cones
  • Jute string

How to make a Christmas table centerpiece in 5 steps:

1. Prepare your frame

Your Sera Candle Holder is your frame. The best thing about this is that no matter how minimal you go, your Sera Candle Holder will still make a statement. We love how the greenery softens the geometric shape of this piece, making it an objet d'art.

2. Create a circular structure with twigs

Create a circle of bendy twigs to form a round structure that you can build upon. In the shape of a wreath, this will provide you with the perfect foundation to decorate your Sera Candle Holder in festive style.

3. Pack on the greenery

Now is time for assembly. Wrap branches of evergreen around the twigs. Be generous with your greenery for a healthy and wholesome wreath. However, if you're looking for a more rustic, natural aesthetic, you can arrange your bundles more freely and sporadically.

4. The finishing touches

From pine cones and twigs to dried fruit and flowers, this is the point when you can adorn your Sera Candle Holder with the finishing touches. After you've added these final flourishes, you're ready to go. Just trim the edges to tidy it up.

5. Light your candles

Add some white candle sticks to your Sera Candle Holder and place your centrepiece in the middle of your Christmas table. Light your candles and enjoy!
